Torbay Heritage Committee celebrates 30 years

The Torbay Heritage Committee will celebrate our 30th Anniversary with a Torbay Museum Open House and a gathering and special presentation in the Council Chambers at Torbay Town Hall, 1288 Torbay Road, Torbay at 2:30pm-4:00pm on on Sunday, December 11th, 2005. The Museum:

Museum

Nestled among this vast scenery is the Torbay Museum. The museum was opened on July 22, 1988 and is very appreciative of the town's spirit and support. The museum is home to hundreds of artifacts, donated mostly by residents of Torbay. The town's municipal centre houses the museum and as you enter and walk down the basement hallway you see a full-size model of a street that has several houses, a museum and a library. READ MORE...

The Heritage Committee:

The mandate of the Torbay Heritage Committee includes producing a display of historical artifacts for public viewing, and the preservation and promotion of the heritage of Torbay. The committee was first affiliated with the public library and was under the direction of President Dr. Jim Tague and Vice-President John Ryan. READ MORE...
